We were about 100 meters from the beach now, still speeding towards it, people had started running from the beach. “Keenan?” I asked nervously, is he trying to kill us? “Relax,” he said as he shut the engine off and we went hurtling onto the sand. We skidded for about 20 metres then came to a halt, people staring at us from the beach. Keenan held his hand toward me, when I took it he grinned and pulled me to the side of the boat. “Jump,” he said and jumped, pulling me down with him. When we landed he dropped to his knees rolling in the sand shouting in an overly dramatic way, “land! Oh sweet land!” I laughed at him, clutching my stomach before he grabbed me and pulled me into the sand with him. I lay on top of him, our lips inches apart. He grinned up at me, I glanced nervously at the people around us and was about to pull away before he spun us over and he was on top of me. He grinned even wider and crashed his lips down on mine, entwining his fingers in my hair. I pulled my hands up into his hair to pull him closer. I could hear people whooping off the beach, ha, if only they knew what we'd been through.
