The CDC does not talk to HRSA, which does not talk to NIH, and nobody seems to create a plan that incorporates the community, and particularly traditional black institutions.
These resources come on top of proposed increases for HIV prevention and care at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) that were included in the original budget submission.
And I also want to acknowledge the presence here of Dr. Mary Wakefield, who is our -- (applause) -- for those of you who are not familiar, she is the administrator of HRSA and our highest-ranking nurse in the administration -- (applause) -- and does absolutely great work.
