abstract:Hong Kong Airlines Ltd (), formerly CR Airways Limited (, IATA: N8), is a Hong Kong-based airline, with its main hub and corporate head office at Hong Kong International Airport. The airline operates scheduled regional passenger and cargo services to 10 destinations within the People's Republic of China and Vietnam, including codeshares with its sister airline, Hong Kong Express Airways.
It handed its China routes to smaller rival HongKong Dragon Airlines Ltd, in which Cathay now has a 17.79 percent stake, under Hong Kong's "one carrier, one route" policy, which was recently relaxed.
Two foreign carriers expressed an interest in PAL: Cathay Pacific Airways of HongKong and Northwest Airlines of the U.S. When executives from both companies met with Estrada last year, they were accompanied by Manuel Zamora.
