“Hi Adam,” I choked out, surprised by how steady my voice sounded. He held out his hand to shake and I took it slowly. My heart stopped beating. Panicked, I thumped on my chest awkwardly and my heart restarted, but in a ragged disjointed beats. It was hot, very hot, and felt almost like it was burning me. The odd part was that, although it felt a lot like burning, it felt amazingly good. All too quickly he pulled his hand away and slipped it into his pocket. I sighed as the pleasure disappeared and tried to keep myself from frowning.
