Patriks Skuratovs, a 19-year-year old student, said he voted for HarmonyCenter politicians because the incumbent mayor "has made life better for people in the city, " including making public transportation for students free.
HarmonyCenter also got the biggest chunk of the vote, 23%, in Latvia's second-largest city Daugavpils, and 48% in Rezekne, the cultural center of the linguistically distinct, mainly Catholic Eastern Latvian district of Latgale.
