Legal proceedings were lodged as the cottages fell in an English Heritage conservation area and the local council deemed the demolition to have caused "substantial harm" to the village's character and appearance.
They claim the designation is necessary and urgent because if they don't get it, Israel may build a portion of the security barrier through thevillage and harmthe irrigation system.
"After she went missing, we were worried, but we were hopeful because we believed that no one would harm an innocent child, " village head Ravindra Kasva told the BBC.
