abstract:The Harle is a small river in the district of Wittmund in East Frisia, a historic region in North Germany. Its entire course is within the borough of Wittmund and it dischages near Harlesiel through a Siel, a sluice in the dyke, into the North Sea.
The dioxinisbelieved to have gotten into thefoodsupply through fatsprocessedby aGermancompany, HarlesandJentzsch, which were used to enrich feed for poultryand swine.
