As a young adult I did own a Gamecube but I rarely played it, favoring the PS1 and especially the PS2 and the myriad PCgames that kept coming out, from DOOM and Quake and other shooters on PC, to Diablo and the many uber-addictive strategy games and then Half-Life 2 and the rise of modern HD PCgames, and finally the modern consoles.
Meanwhile, the sheer quantity of high-quality indie games available for PC, and the many modding communities that bulwark and extend the lives of those games, makes PC gaming the most diverse and interesting platform available.
But with the exception of games, which Virtual PC doesn't support because it isn't designed to handle the complex graphics and sounds that PCgames require, many Windows-based applications can run on Virtual PC without any trouble.
