abstract:The Astroglide slide or also known as Frederiksen's Fun Slide or Cascade slide is an amusement ride that is popular with young children. People walk up the stairs to get to the top of this slide along with a mat, place the mat on the slide, and sit down on the mat.
When I learned that REI Soho is located in the historic Puck building where these were published, I thought it would be fun to give a slide presentation of a select few that addressed some of the popular concerns brought about by the boom.
Mixed in with the fun (seriously, who wouldn't want to water-slide off a yacht?) are less creative attempts to brag, like sepia-shaded photos of exorbitant restaurant receipts.
