abstract:The Friedrich Naumann Foundation () (FNF) is a German foundation for liberal politics, related to the Free Democratic Party. Established in 1958 by Theodor Heuss, the first president of the Federal Republic of Germany, it promotes individual freedom and liberalism.
One idea, backed by the Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung, a political foundation close to the Free Democrats, would be to give the regions (both the states and the local authorities) more powers to raise their own revenue.
