The ministers acknowledge the relevance of the European Union (EU) Framework Programmes and other EU funding schemes, as well as the activities of UNESCO and other international organizations, for developing scientific collaboration and synergies among South-East European countries.

The meeting also considered the overall framework for the project and the possible structure for delivering these programmes by Spring 2011.

In the framework of the project, RPDJN will be equipped to create programmes on peace, democracy and good governance for distribution to various local media.
