Producer James L. Brooks negotiated creative independence from the Fox network, and over the years creator Matt Groening and the show's writers haven't been shy to bite the hand that feeds them.
According to the L.A. Times, Fuller claims that in 2005 Fox agreed to give him an executive producer credit, and a fee, if The X Factor ever came to America.
