In the last year the central market has been rebuilt, traffic lights put in, and 80% of the potholes fixed.

The council said that between 1 January and 6 March, 92% of potholes were fixed within 24 hours of being reported.

As well as landslips, it said that 35, 000 potholes had been fixed since April, compared to 41, 000 fixed across the entire previous financial year.
