Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Wales David Jones said that the criticism should be "directed at the previous government" and that new measures would "ensure stability in the industry and a fairrateofreturn for investors".
"The government must guarantee that any subsidies for new power generation and any rateofreturn to suppliers are fair, and not overly generous at consumers' expense, " said the group's director of energy Audrey Gallacher.
