The Deeside factory produces fully-assembled petrol engines for Toyota's vehicle manufacturing plant at Burnaston, Derbyshire where the Auris and Avensis models are produced.
General Motors and Ford sponsored some of our events, but my tour of the Ford Rouge factory, where workers assembled the Ford F-150 pickup, was paid for out of my own pocket and it was well worth it for a car design lover and transportation geek like myself.
