Veering of the road, Everette runs blindly through a trailer park, and into a patch of woods. The moon shines, high and bright. Running into a clearing, Everette stops. Panting, looking around, his eyes adjust to the darkness. He is in a forest of pines, the ground littered with needles and shrubs. He lays down, setting the gun by his head. Everette sets the alarm on the phone for 6:00 am, and puts that near the gun too. It's almost one in the morning, so that gives Everette about five hours of precious sleep. He lies, head against the hard earth, looking up at the glittering stars. Everette's hat is still on, camera still rolling.
