Neo-neorealism about a decent young officer in the Carbinieri (Enrico LoVerso) and his attempt to connect with two troubled kids: an eleven-year-old girl (Valentina Scalici) whose mother turned her into a prostitute, and her sickly younger brother (Giuseppe Ieracitano).
