Eminent feminist writer, Rajam Krishnan, one of the first to write on female infanticide in the state, said she met several mothers who were full of remorse when they told her whythey had to kill their child.
Mental health experts say it's impossible to say whythey did it, but they say that people who kill themselves have an underlying psychological issue, such as depression or bipolar disorder, so it's not only about the money.
