abstract:The Glenlivet distillery is a distillery near Ballindalloch in Banffshire in the Local Government District of Moray, Scotland that produces single malt Scotch whisky. It is the oldest legal distillery in the parish of Glenlivet, and the production place of the Scottish whisky of the same name.
It is reopening the Glen Keith distillery and expanding four other Speyside distilleries and in 2010, it increased the capacity of its Glenlivetdistillery by 75%.
About 27 miles farther south along the trail is TheGlenlivet, which was founded in 1824 as the first licensed distillery in the Livet Valley and is also known for its distinct taste: a defining fruity pineapple note.
