With a brand-new quad-core processor (i7-3632QM) developed by Intel, a high-end Nvidia GeForce GXT 660M and 8GB of RAM, the new Blade isn't quite at the top of the performance ladder, but is definitely within shouting distance.
The changes were designed to focus the company on creating groups of products that work together to meet the needs of specific end markets, such as the way Intel bundled a laptop processor with wireless networking technologies to create its Centrino brand.
