Berlin's preference appears to be a traditional euro-zone can-kicking exercise, with a solution cobbled together via mixture of fudged numbers, nondepositor haircuts, privatization promises and euro-zone bailout cash the aim being to at least defer the problem until after Germany's own elections in September.
