Amazon's name recognition in part reflects the site's popularity -- it has more than 1.5 million customers, making it the Web's busiest retail location, according to Media Metrix (music retailer Columbia House Online was second).
In addition to a third location in Dallas opening in June, The Gents Place is creating a strictly online store, a social media platform called GentsAdvisor.
Earlier this week, Sina, a leading Chinese onlinemedia company, announced a strategic partnership with AutoNavi Holdings Limited, a provider of digital map content and navigation and location-based solutions in China, in an effort to enhance the social, location and mobile offerings of both the companies.
