abstract:The Nuffield Foundation is a British charitable trust, established in 1943 by William Morris (Lord Nuffield, 1877–1963), the founder of Morris Motors Limited. Lord Nuffield wanted to contribute to improvements in society, including the expansion of education and the alleviation of disadvantage.
This research, funded by the NuffieldFoundation, is intended as a step towards finding a way of tackling the disadvantages of being the youngest in a year group.
