In the current crisis, the constant emphasis in official pronouncements and media commentary on the very low likelihood of high enough exposures to makeaperson immediately sick obscures the fact that as long as we use nuclear technologies, we cannot prevent radiation exposure, and that some people are going to get sick from our use of them.
