Because the rankings consider the grade-point averages and scores on the LawSchoolAdmissionsTest, schools are pulling out the stops to make sure the highest-caliber students are applying and matriculating.
Apparently this is scaring off at least some potential applicants: the number of people taking the LawSchoolAdmissionsTest declined by 9.6% during the 2010-2011 academic year, to 155, 050, from 171, 500 in the previous year, according to the LawSchool Admission Council.
