A rapid, sensitive, simple and convenient method for the determination of sulfur in foods and vegetables by high frequency induction combustion-infrared absorption photometry is reported.

The specimen was heated and burnt in oxygen fluid in high-frequency induction furnace. Carbon in specimen was transformed into carbon dioxide, and then determined by infrared absorption method.
