abstract:Desulfovibrio vulgaris is a species of Gram-negative sulfate-reducing bacteria in the Desulfovibrionaceae family. Desulfovibrio vulgaris is often used as a model compound for sulfur-reducing bacteria and was the first of such bacteria to have its genome sequenced.
