abstract:Brodick Castle is a castle situated outside the port of Brodick on the Isle of Arran, the largest island in the county of Buteshire, in the Local Government Council area of North Ayrshire, western Scotland, on the Atlantic coast at the mouth of the Firth of Clyde, Scotland. Arran is approximately 20 miles (32 km) long and has a mean breadth of 9 miles (14 km) and an area of 166 square miles (431 square km).
