Until recently, there was no national minimum wage in China, and local minimumwages were typically below the prevailing market wage so as not to destroy jobs and growth.
Together, these 3.8 million workers with wages at or below the Federal minimum made up 5.2 percent of all the hourly-paid workers who comprise 59.1 percent of the entire wage and salary workforce.
The People, Companies and Organizations below, have agreed to offer no less than the minimum state wages to all their employees and to abide by the laws set forth by the U.S. Department of Labor.
