AMD, by contrast, is releasing a pair of less expensive new products--the ATIRadeonHD 4850 and the ATIRadeonHD 4870--aimed at grabbing the broad middle of the market.
The former comes equipped with a 15.4-inch display, an AMD Turion TL-60 CPU, ATIRadeonHD x1270 graphics, 4GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, 802.11g, and HDMI.
Under the hood, this guy packs an Intel Core 2 Duo, 8GB memory, an ATI Mobility RadeonHD GPU (up to 1GB DDR3 VRAM), and either a 500GB HDD or 64GB SSD.
