abstract:Apolipoproteins are proteins that bind lipids (oil-soluble substances such as fat and cholesterol) to form lipoproteins. They transport the lipids through the lymphatic and circulatory systems.
The serum levels of CRP, TNF, insulin, cholesterol(TC), lowdensitylipoprotein cholesterol( LDLC) and apoB100 were much higher than those of the control group(P< 0.01, P<0.05).
KYNAMRO, given as a 200 mg weekly subcutaneous injection, has been approved as an adjunct to lipid-lowering medications and diet to reduce low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C), apolipoprotein B (Apo B), total cholesterol (TC), and non-high density lipoprotein-cholesterol (non HDL-C) in patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HoFH).
