Upcoming highlights include the Gustav Klimt exhibition at Tate Liverpool and the Walker gallery's "Art in the AgeofSteam", featuring paintings by Van Gogh, Turner and Monet.
The museum has a growing collection of engines from the ageofsteam, including Timothy Hackworth's original locomotives Sans Pareil, built in 1829, and Francis Trevethick's Cornwall, built in 1847.
Comparing the 1991 data with information gathered for the year 1800, prior to the ageofsteam and mechanisation in the fishing industry, showed up clear reductions in the numbers of cod, haddock, saithe, cetaceans and seabirds.
