预约保险合同又称“开口保险合同”。主要用于货物运输保险和再保险业务的一种不定期保险合同。用于货物运输保险时，保险人依合同规定对被保险人分批发运的全部货物自动承担保险责任。用于再保险时，即为预约再保险形式。
预约保险合同应当由保险人签发预约保险单证加以确认。
