《金色的孔雀》是于天佑先生于1976年创作并亲自演奏的一首葫芦丝曲。为创作此曲，于天佑先生曾十余次深入云南少数民族地区采风，该作品通过对孔雀的描写,刻画了傣族人民热爱自己的民族、热爱生活的情景。全曲分引子、行板、快板和散板四个部分，形象的表述了晨曦微明,孔雀召唤同伴；竹林深处，孔雀翩翩起舞和夕阳渐下，孔雀款款离去的几个场景，此曲充分运用调式和调性对比的转换手法，是对葫芦丝艺术创作和发展的一个成功范例。
