亦称“重力沉积”。在陆上、水底或水体中由重力作用推动的含有大量弥散物的一种密度流沉积物。沉积物在重力流动时保持明显的边界,整体流动,故亦称“块体流沉积”。根据重力流中悬浮颗粒的支撑机理,将水下重力流沉积分为碎屑流沉积、颗粒流沉积、液化沉积物流沉积和浊流沉积四种类型。
