虚拟教室系统，也叫做虚拟教室，是指在计算机网络上利用多媒体通讯技术构造的学习环境，允许身处异地的教师和学生进行大多数教学活动，并能实现实时视频点播教学、实时视频广播教学、虚拟教室教学监控、多媒体备课与授课、多媒体个别化交互式网络学习等；虚拟教室是计算机技术、多媒体技术、数字压缩技术、网络通信技术等信息技术、多学科、多领域融合交叉结合的产物。
此外，本文实例实现了一个基于混合p 2 P计算模式的协同教学系统—虚拟教室系统原型。
