组成腕掌关节各骨的关节面，失去正常对位关系，称为腕掌关节脱位。腕掌关节由远排腕骨与掌骨基底的关节面组成。其中第1掌骨与大多角骨构成的关节，为鞍状关节，可作屈伸、内收和外展运动，是活动范围较大而灵活的关节。第二掌骨与大多角骨、小多角骨及头状骨构成关节；第3掌骨与头状骨构成关节，第4、5掌骨与钩骨相接形成关节。第2～5腕掌关节囊的掌侧和背侧均有韧带加强，较为稳定，其关节腔较为狭窄，活动范围极少。单纯闭合性腕掌关节脱位很少见，往往不被重视，故容易漏诊。但有时可见到开放性腕掌关节脱位或脱位并发骨折。
