肝细胞移植（HCT），就是对获得完整正常的肝脏或手术切下的部分肝组织，进行体外分离纯化，将分离纯化的肝细胞植入体内，恢复或重建肝功能，暂时性代谢性支持病人等待肝脏移植或自行恢复患者的疾病不需进行原位肝移植。肝细胞体内移植经过20余年的基础与临床应用研究，被证明是一项经济、有效、微创的治疗终末期肝病和遗传性肝脏代谢性疾病的治疗措施。目前只有美国、日本等发达国家能开展这项手术，国内尚处于基础研究阶段。
