美国描写语言学派，是结构主义语言学派之一。并不是所有美国的语言学家都属于美国描写语言学派，而是指在美国持有这一语言学派的相同观点的一批语言学家，他并不存在任何团体或机构，也没有专门的组织形式。美国描写语言学派20世纪20年代逐步形成，在1930年代-1950年代在美国的语言学研究中占有统治地位。
