缓释药物（sustained-release medicine）又称缓释制剂（sustained-release preparations），是指口服后在规定释放介质中，按要求缓慢地非恒速释放药物的制剂，与相应普通制剂比较，给药频率至少减少，且能显著增加患者的顺应性或降低药物的副作用。
