粉末高温合金是指用粉末冶金工艺制成的高温合金。这类合金最早起源于弥散强化合金。1962年美国杜邦公司根据二氧化钍在钨中具有弥散强化作用的原理，研制出一种用粉末冶金工艺制成的二氧化钍弥散强化的高温材料，称之为TD镍，从而开始了粉末冶金高温合金的生产。
