神经性耳鸣又称感音神经性耳鸣，其强调的是患者的主观感受。指人们在没有任何外界刺激条件下所产生的异常声音感觉。如感觉耳内有蝉鸣声、嗡嗡声、嘶嘶声等单调或混杂的响声，如果是持续性耳鸣，尤其是伴有耳聋、眩晕、头痛等其他症状。可分为感音性（源于耳蜗）、周围神经性（源于听神经）及中枢神经性耳鸣。
