痈疽，发生于体表、四肢、内脏的急性化脓性疾患，是一种毒疮。痈发于肌肉，红肿高大，多属于阳症，疽发于骨之上，平塌色暗，多属于阴症。痈疽证见局部肿胀、焮热、疼痛及成脓等。现代医学解释其为皮肤的毛囊和皮脂腺成群受细菌感染所致的化脓性炎，病原菌为葡萄球菌。
Objective:This paper aims to compile the various theories of treating carbuncle and deep-rooted carbuncle by moxibustion through digesting ancient literature systematically. Moreover, anatomizes logicalness or unreasonable theories among them,for providing reference of using moxibustion in clinical surgery in the future.
目的:本论文的目的是通过系统整理古代文献,对灸法治疗痈疽的各种理论进行汇总,并对其中合理或不合理的观点进行剖析,以为其今后外科临床中的应用提供参考。
