牛膝草（学名神香草，拉丁学名:Hyssopus officinalis.）是唇形科、神香草属多年生草本，茎直而硬，植株高约20-50公分枝从茎的下方开始分开直立或扩大。原产于地中海沿岸，印度、伊朗和中国新疆地区亦有分布。可治疗肺脏疾患、支气管炎、消化不良、食欲不振，精油可用于芳香疗法，叶可作为外用药，治疗跌打损伤，溃疡。
