包括牙周囊肿及含牙囊肿（peridentalcystanddentigerouscyst）。此病多见于年龄较大的病人。由于牙根发生感染及损伤后，根尖肉芽肿发生囊样变而来，侧切牙最多见。囊肿内覆鳞状上皮组织，病牙根尖突入囊肿腔内。
