煤尘爆炸,煤是可燃性物质,如其粉尘浮游在空气中且达到一定浓度、有足够点燃煤尘的热源就可产生煤尘爆炸。是煤矿井下重大灾害之一。煤尘爆炸产生的爆炸波可以扬起巷道中沉积的煤尘,发生连续爆炸,甚至波及全矿井。煤尘爆炸时,爆温可达2300〜2500℃,火焰传播速度可达1120m/s以上,冲击波速度可达2340m/s,破坏力极强。煤尘爆炸产生大量一氧化碳,其浓度可达2%〜3%,能使人员中毒身亡。
