海河流域，即海河水系流域统称，东临渤海湾，西倚太行山，南临黄河，北接蒙古高原。流域总面积32.06万k㎡，占全国总面积的3.3%。 海河包括五大支流（潮白河、永定河、大清河、子牙河、南运河）和一个小支流（北运河）。 海河流域是渤海湾西部流域的主体，渤海湾水系包括海河、滦河和徒骇马颊河三个大河流域，以及一批小河：海河北方的蓟运河、潮白新河，及海河南方的南河、子牙新河、北排河、南排河等。
