泰国芒果又称象牙芒果，果实圆长肥大，一个重1斤左右，因果型如幼年象牙而得名。果实成熟时呈金黄色，可食用部分占72%，皮薄核小，果肉肥厚、鲜嫩、多汁，味美可口，香甜如蜜。含有多种维生素，被视为果类珍品。景谷县年产芒果100万多市斤，已生产有“树塔牌”芒果汁、“大有为”芒果汁，畅销国内几十个省市、远销香港等地，深受欢迎。
谢天谢地，在泰国我每天随时都可以吃到芒果了，10泰铢(约合30美分)就可以吃到新鲜的刨切好的芒果了。
