气体渗透性，又称气体透过系数（P），是在恒定温度和单位压力差下，在稳定透过时，单位时间内透过试样单位厚度、单位面积的气体的体积，单位为：cm3·cm/cm2·s·Pa。
使用合适的设计，使燃油管在输送汽油、柴油时减少了燃料损耗。降低了气体渗透性。允许软管输送其它气体。
