极性运输(又称纵向运输)就是生长素只能从植物的形态学上端往形态学下端运输,而不能倒过来运输。这是由遗传物质决定的,而不受重力影响。是根据Goldsmith提出的化学渗透极性假说,各细胞细胞膜底部上携有生长素载体蛋白,顶端细胞膜没有这种蛋白,所以生长素只能从细胞底部运向下一个细胞。
结果提示,生长素极性运输活性对不定根形成起着重要作用。
